You can open the rainy day saver on the 1st. You won't get charged for May, but make sure you have two direct debits ready to go so you get £5 in june (you still have time to do a couple of paypal DD this month and not actually wait until may)ForumUser7 said:My question is, when you upgrade to Barclays Blue Rewards, is this processed immediately please? I.e. If I applied for Blue Rewards and submitted it at 00:01 on 1st May, could I then open the Rainy Day Saver at 00:02 on 2nd of May please? And should my DDs etc. count for the may month?

How come I wouldn't get charged for May please? I thought they May fee would go in June, June fee would go in July etc. and then May cashback would come in June, June cashback would come in July etc.
Do you not get charged for the first month of blue rewards, is that just a policy? I couldn't see it in the ts and cs when I checked before.
I have 2 ecology direct debits linked and they go on 2nd WD of the month, so I should get my cashback from May onwardsIf you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

On your statement, this will show as the “Blue Rewards fee”. The first monthly fee will be taken in the month after you join Barclays Blue Rewards on the second working day of the month

Thank you for explaining that - I thought would be the case. On reflection, I think phillw was saying that there would be no fee taken out in May, but it would be taken in June instead (for may). I.e. we get charged at the start of the next month for the previous month?Aidanmc said:ForumUser7 said:
