Back in bed with a steaming coffee. I'm been sitting in the dark looking at the star filled sky, it's magnificent, no doubt that clouds will soon cover them up.Later this morning I'm going down to Glasgow overnight. I'm booked to watch Coldplay's concert being beamed live from Brazil. I'm slightly regretting it whilst mostly excited by it too. 😀I hope that everyone is doing well even if the going is uphill. Happy Saturday to all.11

Morning all
Just off to bed.
Have a good trip @ Gers9 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x That sounds like a good night out - is it live screened to a cinema then? I've often seen those events advertised but have never done it. Do let me know what you think.
We watched In the Heart of the Sea last night. OMG I bet that was a sight to see on the big screen. Very much enjoyed swooning over Chris Hemsworth even when he'd been at sea for a long time
Off to FC later and hoping for another loss. I've TOTM at the moment but have been eating especially well this week, so will be surprised if at least 0.5lb hasn't shifted.
The outlaws are coming this afternoon so I will pop and buy some little cakes as cheaper than putting the oven on and I don't have time to bake. We are tidying the garden up this weekend and painting the remainder of our bedroom furniture, so pretty fully on again. Other than that, we are out at a Thai restaurant tonight with a group of friends and I'm booked to see the original Hocus Pocus film tomorrow afternoon as I've not seen it and the sequel is coming out soon. There's also extreme ironing to do this weekend.
Hope you all have a good day and that the poorlies are getting better.

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers, hope your trip to Glasgow goes well (why are you regretting watching the concert?)Yesterday started off pouring with rain, but turned mild, dry and windy, so I got some washing dry. I always seem to be banging on about my washing, but I seemed to bring so much back from our holiday!Bella, shame about the car, it's costing you a lot of money.Good on you for rescuing the baby hedgehog Mad, what a nice thing to doNanny, cold fish fingers - urghhYou'll be too posh to speak to us now you've got 3 vacuum cleaners Taff.Hi Mehefin, hope you're ok.Hope you're feeling ok Coxy, Years ago, my then neighbour and I used to run early on summer mornings. We really enjoyed it, and felt better for it. It's like a dream to think of that now, I have so many aches and pains in the mornings I can hardly walk!!Thinking of our poorly people, Dp1, Snoozer, and anyone else. Also Nelski - hope all is well with you.Sorry if I've missed anyone, there's so much going on in people's lives - I should make notes as I read.Hope everyone gets through their day without problems - take care folks.11

Coxy - yes, it's being live-streamed to cinemas. I'm going to the Everyman.Scarlet - my regret is that there's supposed to be pouring with rain and dark when it finishes. I am looking forward to it. 😀9

Dull and overcast here but the sun is due out later, I have some invoicing to do today so will get that out of the way this morning.
DD is off to a fancy dress party tonight all the other girls are going in attractive girly outfits and DD is going as a spider along with eight legs and eight googly eyes stuck to her head
I have got OH and I a steak for dinner with a few chips and garlic mushrooms and roasted tomatoes, a bit of a treat, I have wine in the fridge waiting
I have put a wash on this morning and will hang it out for a while later, OH and I will do the housework this morning as DD is off to work.
Have good days all and take care xxx9 -
Morning ! What a hideous bunch of weather outside..Mind you, I'm sure it's a lot warmer than it usually is at this time of year. I remember it being freezing on other quiz nights but today it's just a bit nippy. I gave everything a tidy to within an inch of it's life yesterdy so the table downstairs is clear for the first time since I got it. A bit more effort to declutter is needed but that can happen next week, this weekend is for fun. The cats are playing 'I want to sleep where you sleep, NO, I want to sleep where YOU sleep' with each other so there'll be hissing later on I expect.Izzy, I hope you do give yourself a talking to. I hope it's a positive one because all that food has been bought for less than you'd pay for it now, so rejoice in thriftiness. Scarlet, yes, I will have to queenie wave as I glide past with my suction stick...
You're not washing clean stuff are you?
Coxy, you have a full on weekend don't you?! Gers, enjoy the concert! Ruby, good on her. I'm fed up of seeing pretty versions of zombies/ghouls etc. Dress up isn't for wearing skimpy outfits and plenty of make up, it's for having fun, being scary, not trying to be pretty. Your treat supper used to be our treat supper when we were kids too, except we didn't have roasted tomatoes, it was a half under the grill and the mushrooms came without garlic..Truth to tell, it's still my treat supper now with the price of steak..Have a good one folks...

Morning All
Dull but dry this morning, I've put a wash load out to see what happens, at least it will smell nice!
I've been for a swim this morning, only 3 of us in the pool so nice and quiet. Just having a mushroom omelette for breakfast and delicious it is too.
Lovely surprise yesterday, one of our Afghan families cooked all the staff a lunch, rice with veggies, nuts and sultanas, lamb with potatoes and a really yummy spinnach dish. It was their way of saying thank you for the welcome they have had, really kind of them. There was so much rice left we've all brought a tub full home, will have that later.
Goodness Izzy, your freezer must be groaning but think of all that money you've saved.
Enjoy your quiz taff.
Good for your DD Ruby!
Cold fish fingers Nanny? Can't think of anything worse. Perhaps the label had come off the pack in the freezer and they thought they were mozarella sticks (although they are pretty grim cold too).
Enjoy the concert Gers, sounds good.
What a week you've had Bella, hope the car doesn't cost as much as you fear.
How are you Snoozer, you need to slow down and get better!
Missing you Nelski.
Good to hear from you Mehefin.
You must be nearly finished with the decorating now Coxy?
Right, off to dry my hair, go shopping and finish weeding at the allotment. Take care and have a good weekend. Take care. XX9
