DPD missing goods

 Imagine…you’ve boxed up your parcel containing a valuable laptop. You booked the parcel in for pick up, received the tracking number and accompanying paperwork and on time the parcel is picked up. So a week later, where is it? Delivered? No. Lost and we’ll find it? No. Delivered incorrectly? No. We’re going to track it down, refund your costs and compensate for time spent and the insurance value of the goods? Don't be silly! In fact nothing at all happens. You’ve complained to so called customer services by email and phone and nothing. What I want to know is this, like baggage reclaim, is it just a case of “oh well, never mind, we’ll try harder next time” does DPD actually try to find out what went wrong? Is it in a warehouse somewhere? Has it been stolen by staff (like baggage reclaim) has it been stolen by an opportunist? Is it investigated and you receive an explanation and a nice bouquet? How can they get away with it, it’s like a basic scam,
; you pay us and we’ll sell it on eBay. Can somebody from DPD offer us anything at all instead of silence? Please?
