EonNext and change prepayment to credit meter

As a small landlord, I am about to take possession of a house where the tenant is leaving on 31/10. A series of unfortunate events has left the property with prepayment meters for gas and electricity. EonNext are the supplier and I now find that they don't have a credit checking system and so wont change back to credit meters! Looking at the EonNext community forums this has been the case since the company was formed as a subsidiary of Eon and all (or most?) customers were moved to it.

1. Anyone here suffering in the same way?
2. How can a 'Big 6' supplier get into this position?
3. Martin - can you poke someone about this? It is scandalous.

The only way to get a credit meter is to move supplier, if there is one that will take me on in the current climate.

I looked for a discussion on this topic but was surprised not to find one or have I missed it?
