    If you do replace them DIY, take a good look a the plumbing before you start. 

    My brothers property had fixed length pipes with no give and no individual isolators, and the new worktop was much thicker than the original, as he discovered late Saturday afternoon when finishing up…and with the entire property’s waters supply off…

    I haven't read the replies but we did ours about 2 years ago as our (inherited) worktops were green (yes - green). 

    I must say I'm very impressed with how much they've held up. Friends and relatives had no idea it was wrapped. But, it was a PAIN to do. It sounds like it's over the top when I say this but trust me remove the stove and the sink if you want it to look good.

    We had D-C-Fix wrap. If you do it ensure you buy a spare.
