Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's dark and damp here as well, those hot summer days that we had seem so far away now. There's not a lot going on today, I'm visiting an elderly housebound friend for an hour this morning, then I'll be at home all day I think.Hope everyone has a good day today, take care folks.11

Morning All
Wet and breezy this morning, we'll be floating away soon!
Off to work early today, the roadworks are now causing huge delays so want to get past them before the rush. No point in going on the bus as that will be caught up too.
Hoping you feel better today Snoozer.
Have a good day, take care. XX11 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It looks a bit damp outside here too but a bit too gloomy to see properly. The mildness continues which is good for the fuel bills but a disaster for the Arctic wildlife. .
I'm up and at 'em as I have an Ocado delivery early doors and want to be ready and waiting. It's much needed as fridge, fruit and veg supplies are at rock bottom. It's a bit of a pricey one as I added some Christmas stuff to my order. It will have to go straight in the small freezer before I get my greedy mitts on them!
When that lot has been dealt with I have the pleasure of the Friday Tidy, with a dust and vac up and down and all around. Such excitement.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and fed up. NAN I hope the funeral went as well as it could do. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning all
It's grey and gloomy in Kent. Off to do my last 2 cleaning jobs of the week. I had s productive day yesterday, listed dome stuff on Freecycle and it all went do I'm happy. We did a dash to our local hedgehog rescue last night at 7.30pm as DP found a tiny hog on our patio too small to be away from Mamma. Hopefully they'll get her big and strong and we can have her back when she's ready. We just have to keep an eye out for the other babies.
Have a good day all 😊13 -
Morning all and thanks for the thread nmlc x
Managed another (shorter) run this morning as TOTM has made an appearance (groan). I've a less frantic day today as main boss is on leave. A good friend is being made redundant, so I've a call booked with her this afternoon to talk through her options. Not great when you're 56 - or any age really!
We enjoyed Quorn moussaka last night and there's 2 further portions for tonight. I wasn't sure I could freeze it as it is topped with natural yog and eggs...? I have some ironing to get on with tonight and will continuing crocheting a blanket which is a Christmas gift.
Well done for rescuing the tiny hoglet @Madbat60 x
Hope @snoozer is doing okay and waving to @Nelski and our other missing folk. Has anyone heard from @csarina2 lately?
Have a good day all

Morning all, . I haven't even taken pooch out yet- wet & dark here & she wouldnt walk in it! She's more sense than me, I hopped in the van with DH on his way to work to post a letter & walk back. No sooner had he dropped me at the postbox & set off it absolutely chucked it down, so I started jogging down the main road, which is quicker. Unbeknown to me he must have turned round to take me back and we met just as he came down our road and I came up round the corner so he just waved and set off back to work I'm drenched so I'll leave it a bit before the dog walk! I hung my jacket over a stool and just noticed a pool of water underneathSalmon for tea tonight. I might carry on making some cards today after a bit more cleaning. Now I need another brew! Have good days all, or feel better soon if not well x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)12

Morning everyone what a wet and miserable morning beef stew was lovely last night and enough for a small bowl each for lunch bacon chop new potatoes and salad tonight. I felt like I had a really good night sleep last night I was shattered yesterday and had a soak in the bath I think that helped anyway feeling better for it .I have a few jobs then off to work. I seem to have spent a lot on food this month and the freezer hasn’t gone down much I am going to sort it tomorrow and make a food plan to get it used up and not buy anymore I know it’s all reduced meat but I need to save some money and get some space . Mad at I hope you’re little hedgehog is ok when I lived in my other house we had fields out the back and had them all the time and they happily lived down the side of the greenhouse in the gap ne’er the fence it filled with leaves and we just left them we had some whoppers over the years but were fascinating to watch on a night . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning everyone, sun trying to come through here in Kent. A night out with old work friends tonight, glad I kept in touch when I left the NHS ten years ago, they’re lovely people. I’m on pud duty.
have a good day allCarolbee10 -
Morning all a quick update on the cruise spoke to my travel agent and the cruise line will either change the trip or cancel, both will incur a charge which is reasonably small so that was good and i have till January to decide unfortunatly BA couldn't care less and will only give me back 10% of the fare paid oh well lesson learnt with them . My TA said they didn't know about the change until another customer called with the same issue so if you know anyone travelling to Cuba please let them know it will be an embassy interview for a visa at higher cost for the USA even if you are just transiting through
I picked up the car which passed its MOT unfortunatly it needs new brake discs and pads we bought the car from a main dealer second hand but thought as it was under 3 years old it would have been looked after it appears not the previous owner had worn through their brake pads and scored the discs but instead of replacing has just put new pads on top so i am left with the bill of nearly £1000 to replace them, new pads need to be fitted with new discs for safety. So my day got better then got worse then better then worse still
Right enough misery from me the good outweighs the bad and these really are very small issues in the scheme of things right now.
Nelski thinking of you hope the milder weather is helping x
Madbat well done for rescuing the little one
TA enjoy the Friday clean
The weather here is very mild but damp at the moment its set to be a nice weekend we are off to see Matthew DD2 says he has 2 chins but sometimes 3 he looks to be thriving and DD2 seems to be enjoying it as well . Dinner tonight is fish fingers and chips we are eating up the freezer contents to make space for xmas bits
Have a good day one and all stay safe xxSlava Ukraini9 -
Morning all, the sun is out here although showers are forecast for today. I have the wm on so I hope the showers stay away until this afternoon, when the washing should be mostly dry.
The funeral was a very short service and afterwards we went to the local golf club. I was glad when a small group of Mr Fix It's family broke off into another room as the main room was full (far too many for the size of the room) with everyone talking at once. They had some weird things on the buffet table too like cold fish fingers which I thought would be mozzarella sticks 🤔 We finally got home about 6pm, both shattered.
Today I have a few things to do, plus hang the washing out (hopefully) then load the dw up and get that going. Tea will be jacket potatoes with something, probably salmon for me.
Bella oh dear what a day you had yesterday, hope today is much easier for you.
Mehefin nice to hear from you. Hope MrsM is ok after her booster.
Take care, stay safe and well. Hugs and healing vibes to the poorly ones.
