Evening all and happy Friday.
Another £2 in the pot this week (as ever, courtesy of my mum LOL) and today is payday, when we also received our latest 'one-off' payment from work of £500. Or £330.09 after deductions. Transferred that amount into my savings/virtual pot. I'm also working next Sunday which will be double time, and which will be in December's pay just nicely before Xmas so that will also go in the pot.SPCNo.18 #20 (17 £562.86 16 £678; 15 £1120.92; 14 £416.53; 13 £191.52; 12 £260.48; 11 £480.95; 10 £682.31; 9 £442.64)

£10 to the sealed pot.
I am quite organised @AntoMac, but I can't seem to get my penny challenge off the ground, so I think that might help me. I was trying to do it in the reverse order and start with the highest, but I've not really being doing much of anything, so maybe a random order will help 🤷🏾♀️.

Well I’m not sure that I’ll complete the penny challenge @Keedie
All I know is that I started it at the beginning of November and will keep going until or if it becomes unmanageable. Today’s random number was just 48p, whereas yesterday was 354p, so it really is random. I’m marking each number off as I pay it. I just transfer the amount to a separate account, thanks to the benefits of online Banking. How did we manage without the internet!?
I only got the idea to start the penny challenge as an additional way of saving by earwigging on your conversations with @LittleMissDetermined
Also added two more pound coins to the actual pot today.27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 54 -
I looked at the random.org, but got overwhelmed by all the options 🤦🏾♀️ @AntoMac. Which one do I use?? But I would definitely like to transfer in a random order, as I might actually get it done. I think if I do a chart from 1p to £3.65, I can always circle the ones that have been generated that I've not been able to afford at the time, and then transfer what I 'owe' when I get more money. But if it's small amounts, I can manage it. And yes, earwig away, that's how we help each other and find what works for us.
And yes, the days of pre-internet and app based banking seems like the Dark Ages 😂. My son was confused when I told him that bank transfers used to take 3 days! And how I used to pay for clothes shopping by writing a cheque 😂.Debt Free Diary:- The Mental Debt Struggle

Not to worry @AntoMac I worked it out! I've done a randomised order from £0.01 to £3.65 and then put it into a spreadsheet with dates so that I can work out where I should be. The £18.12 I'd already saved takes me from 26 Oct to 5 Nov, so not too much to catch up on 👍🏾. Thanks for the tip.

Ah good, glad you’ve found a way that works for you. @KeedieFor once I’m awake even later than you!
I figured reverse order would be way too expensive to begin with and vice versa with the later dates if starting sequentially from 1. So far the random way seems manageable.27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 55
