Error on Nationwide report showing Arrears

Hi, so after being refused a small increased overdraft i decided to check my credit report on Clears Score. It showed an arrears- worsening- on my mortgage which was the first I’d heard of it.
i called Nationwide and they confirmed there were no arrears and they had not ‘reported’ me and to get in touch with Equifax
After a bit of backwards and forwards, they have confirmed the error and that my report will be amended within 5 days.
will this be an issue in the future ? Should i just accept this?
thanks

Also worth noting that having an increased OD (assuming you're increasing it because you need to use it) will do far more damage to your credit record than an incorrectly reported error which will be removed completely

How can you be so confident that the supplier who refused the overdraft increase has removed the arrears marker from their own records and so if the OP applies again there will not still be a problem because of the error ?

Are you suggesting the bank would keep a record of something noted on the CRA report in a local notice rather than check again when OP applies later? If so, no, they wouldn't keep an out of date record

The bank will only keep records of events that have happened within their own systems. If it happens outside of that they won't keep a record of it, other than the obvious "they failed a credit check."
And I can be so confident because I have worked for a bank in a credit control situation.0 -
