I Want A Free Download Of Norton Go Back Type Thing

Does anyone know a safe download site.........

Apparently Norton Go Back allows you to revert your PC to past/old settings if you accidently delete or remove files or uninstall something mistakenly.

Can this sort of thing be obtained for free?

Thanks for your help.

    Xmas Saver!
I would be very very careful with Norton go back, I had a version of that free last yr (think it was caled Norton Ghost) ? when I brought the Norton Anti Virus it was a disater, it wiped the whole memory of the computer.

Basically I now back up files on disc and pen, lot safer

Norton goback is not the same as norton ghost. they are two very different products. One is to roll back your system to pre-defined state and the other is for disk image/backups.

there are two other products like goback: eaz fix http://www.eazsolution.com and rollback rx http://www.horizondatasys.com/169614.ihtml.

I used goback years ago and I tool it off fairly quickly. EAZ fix I've also used and it removed a service pack on xp in under a minuite and I lost a few downloads too in the process.

All three of these products are best used with an information partitioning strategy in mind.

Another product that you may wish to use is vmware server and it is free, it too has a rollback facility in.

Backup/restore is the cheapest, but if your system goes faulty you have to install xp again and then do the restore. ghost will do the restore in one tenth of the time.
GOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time. ;)

You can get Acronis True Image for free if you have a Seagate or Maxtor hard drive just download Disk Wizard (Seagate) or Maxblast (Maxtor) from the relevant website. They're just rebadged versions of True Image and work very well. Mind you I don't think this is exactly what the OP wanted.
