LPA cheque, and how long question

I am helping a friend with an LPA their very ill sibling (hopefully it will be processed before things get really bad) and they are wondering how long it takes before the cheque gets cashed? It is so that they know it has been received and will at some point be processed, and therefore at that point they could if required ask for an interim order so that a care invoice could be paid.
Also, IF they were granted an interim order, would it mean that the LPA may be processed faster than it would be otherwise?
I have done a search on the forum, but not found any answers.
