Address registration for family

I have family members who are currently selling their home and going to live in a caravan. They want to use our address for gp surgery's, bank accounts etc. Is this illegal?
We don't want them to use our address and then have money issues and the bailiffs turn up here.

If you have any concerns about money issues etc .I'd decline to let them use your address.. it could affect your credit rating.1

Using your address for mail is OK. Individual banks will have their own rules about addresses and may permit their customers to use a C/O ("care of") address, which signifies the person is not a permanent resident at that address
My GP surgery has a "catchment area", it will only accept patients living in that area because they will not do home visits outside that area. So it would not be a good idea to use your address for a GP surgery. Also the surgery may consider you allowing someone outside their area to use your address to register there as a breach of trust and request you move to another surgery. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales1 -

It would not be illegal for them to use your address for their post. You could ask that they ensure the address is listed as a "care of" address - so the first address line would be for example "c/o 27 High Street" but whether organisations would comply with that these days is possibly hit and miss.1 -
Why can't they receive post at the caravan?0

They can, but they are saying they need a registered address for repeat prescriptions etc. I'm just unsure what is classed as fraud. There's not that much info out there.0

Consequence might be various people turning up at your home looking for them (eg bailiffs, etc etc).
Excuse my cynicism but to register with a GP usually requires living close to the GP. They either will be close enough in caravan (in which case they should use the caravan address) or they live too far away (in which case fraud, say no)
Does caravan have limit of say 11 months occupation only?0 -

People who live most/all of their lives in such addresses still manage to have GP registration etc without borrowing the address of a "proper" house.
