Does your French residence permit / ID card display your residential address..?

Driving licence, no. Residence permit, yes... hidden away in there. But would it need translation??

It says 'Adresse / Address' above my address so the important bit does have a translation! Maybe that'd be acceptable. I think an ID card is accepted as proof of address. If so, I'll give it a go tomorrow..Thanks for the suggestion @eDicky

Just wanting to keep this thread alive, it's not forgotten! I'm currently playing ping-pong with HSBC and the documents they'll accept as proof of address. I've submitted a number of documents now but nothing, as yet, has satisfied them - and I don't know why exactly. Unfortunately, the process seems to be automated and there is nobody to speak to/contact. The process is taking around a week turnaround at a time from me submitting a document to them rejecting it (with no reason given)

At long last, all done.

HSBC finally accepted a proof of address (a bank statement generated online rather than through the post). The account was then opened on the 23rd Nov. Postal strikes and delays thereafter have not helped, neither has the delays in getting through to their help lines BUT, near on a month after the account was opened, I have been able to activate it.
