Hello All,
Just a quick question, are IP's computer specific or do they change depending on the location your computer is connected to?

As a general rule, your average person connecting to the Internet will get issued a different IP number each time you connect to your ISP.
Your ISP has a range of numbers issued to them - and they hand them out like tokens as each person connects.
If, however, you want to run your own website and host your own site on your own server in your house, then you can apply (and pay extra) to have a Static IP address. For obvious reasons most people don't have/need one of these.0 -
Or instead of a static IP address you can use dynamic DNS to tie your domain name to your changing, non-static (aka DHCP) IP address.
As an aside, there are addresses that are permanently tied to your computer - these are called MAC addresses. A computer will have a MAC address for each network adapter installed (e.g. one for wired, and another for wireless).0
