eBay promote an item - difference between 'default' and 'GB' campaigns?

Hi all.

I've got a couple of things on my personal a/c which has had very few views the past few months yet I'm cheaper than other sellers for same items and yet these folk are managing to sell when I check 'sold items'.

So, I'm thinking about promoting a few of the listings (between 5-8%) just in the hope to get a few more views and possible sales.

In the 'promote listing' box, it mentions 'default campaign' and 'GB campaign'. I only sell to UK buyers after numerous GSP issues over the years - less sales, yes, but less problems. Any ideas if that means GB campaign will only show my listings promoted to UK buyers on ebay.co.uk or is it something completely different? TIA.

  • I'm not sure on the answer to your question but the promoted option works very well at 2% (the minimum they allow), I'd ignore eBay's recommended rates.
