Hello all, it's damp and dreary here today but it's supposed to be like yesterday when in the afternoon the sun came out and it was lovely and warm. I was a bit disappointed with lunch as my chips looked cooked but then were raw in the centre. I hate complaining but they were changed asap with many apologies. I managed to buy some bits for stocking fillers, but they didn't have all the xmas things on show as they still had some Halloween stuff out. I did a load in the wm when I came home and it almost dried, so it's all been on the airer overnight to finish off.
I shall be pottering about today until it's time to go to the funeral this afternoon, not particularly looking forward to it and I'm still not sure which coat I will need to wear, my jacket, coat or mac.
Another one who doesn't like dark mornings, but I don't mind the dark evenings.
Bella big hugs, it will be such a shame to have to cancel your cruise.
Snoozer I'm sorry you're still feeling poorly. Get better asap.
TA a great find in the cs.
Take care, hugs to all.

Morning from Mehefinland
Hi all, am still here for those concerned about my disappearance! Life just gets in the way. Been busy log splitting the ash trees we had to fell in the early summer. Glad I have the loan of a tractor mounted splitter. The logs are huge!!!
Then I have to transport them home and find somewhere to store them as I can't leave them in the field.
Nags and mrs ok. Just plodding along
Hugs and spoons as allways
Mehefin

Afternoon all, dull but warm & rained early on with DH muttering about it not being ideal for the concrete wagon arriving on the job today. I have sent him with my shiny new flask as they haven't been offered a drink at all, which is very unusual round here. He was sending DS to the coffee shop and the cost was mounting up. It's not that big though, they might get 2 small cups each out of it if they're lucky. I had no spare cups either as I sent a load to the CSrecently, so I went in the loft and found a load of Manchester Xmas market ones that'll do , bit early but never mind.My veg box has just arrived, shortly followed by Ly las food- got a nice surprise as it was the owner delivering, not seen him for a couple of years. He started up in 2009 & we were one of his 1st customers with our previous mastiff Leo. He carried it in the kitchen for me, I held her collar as she's not fond of people she doesn't know but she remembered him & was being all giddy so I let her go to slobber all over him , he used to have a mastiff too so he knew what to expect! It was good to have a catch up.I've been having a good clean round with both men out of the way, time for a sit down now. Shepherds pie for tea.Snoozer, poor you, it does seem to be lingering. Spoke to my brother last night and he's been off work for a week, not like him.Well done with the jacket TA, sounds lovely. I got 2 good buys off E bay, I coat and 1 jacket , both M/S, the wool jacket is so warm and a lovely bright blue, perks me up when I wear it.Ok better put my veg away now, take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
