Good morning. The £66 discount is only applied to electric unfortunately.0

Your wife gets the money, it is only applied to the electricity account...mrpopkins said:Hi all. Really don't know how you "can't seem to find this info anywhere". It's also been in most newspapers, on all television news channels and many interviews with Martin Lewis and similar.0 -
No need to be rude.BOTH British gas AND EDF lay out how they will pay out but NEITHER make it clear what happens if one person pays for gas and the other for electric that I could find.Look: http s://ww w.britishgas.co.uk/energ y/help-if-youre-struggling-to-pay/government-support.htmlNo mention of edf or who gets what above. What I really was looking for was a link with that exact info.

Does this help

Did your wife get an email from EDF in mid Sept ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
It doesn't mention what happens if one pays for gas and the other pays for electric because it was always going to the electric account.
That's because everyone has electric (unless they are off grid) but not everyone has gas.1 -
The same situation applies all consumers that have separate suppliers for gas and electricity. The OP could speak nicely to his wife and ask her to make a £33 payment to his gas account each month!

EdF:

British Gas:
Both say the same thing about getting the discount on a gas account.3
