Should I pay PCN (Highview Parking) in such case?

Hello all,
It is my first post however I regularly browse this forum and feel good.
Today, I want your suggestion in my case.

Last year on the last of September, I parked my car in the car park that is managed (!) by Highview parking. The rule for max stay is 1:30 hours.
That day, parking was almost full, I was traveling from another city with my child onboard. I was looking for a suitable bay to park but struggled to get it, took about 15 minutes to "park" waiting for someone to go. Then I was off to shopping there, I was continuously checking time and then I get back to the car park within 90 minutes. I was very conscious and drive out from the bay and off. But they calculated my entry and exit time and sent me the PCN.

I was moving city, so they sent me the PCN at my old address (registered address of that day), but it was updated in DVLA system after a few days before they issue PCN. I did not get that letter, they sent another letter claiming the full amount, that even I did not receive. I received the letter on my new address several months later from DCB legal claiming £170 with threatening words. This is literally the first letter I have received. Then I complained to them and briefed the situation that I have not received any letter or evidence of breaching of rule. Yesterday I received an email where they sent me old dated letters and pictures capturing my entry and exit from the car park with the obvious deadline to pay the amount claimed. The time shown is 1 hrs 48 mins.

I have the following questions in my mind.
1) Do I pay them fully, or try to reduce and pay or fight in court?
2) Does parking mean entry and exit from the gate? This should be when you enter and exit the parking bay. Are there any such cases defeated in court?
3) In this case as I have not received the letters in the first few months, does it add in my favor if it goes to court?
If it remains as it is, will it impact my credit history?

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

There was court precendent that waiting to park wasn't parking, but their system just uses time in vs time out.

If you go to court and lose (you shouldn't with support) and then pay the. you're credit won't be impacted. Even if you do have to pay it won't be much more than now.

Your best bet is to get this thread moved to the Parking tickets board.
