House of Fraser beauty departments

On 2 occasions recently House of Fraser gave me pause for positive thought.

At the Milton Keynes branch I went to get some of my usual Guerlain cosmetics, only to find I'd just missed a Gift With Purchase (they give you a bag with 6 or 7 deluxe sample size skincare/cosmetics, usually worth £60+.) Got my stuff anyway, and the counter staff were really good, they searched through all their hidden cupboards and found me a makeup bag with mini perfume and 75ml body lotion, then stuffed it with extra samples - DIY GWP!

A little while earlier, Lancome had a promotion on, buy a face cream and for £20-odd get a huge train case filled with mascara and eye cream (full size, not samples), plus a mirror, and 5 samples. They had sold out of all but the case containing an eye cream I'm allergic too. Really disappointed! The Lancome counter manager at the Northampton branch (Beatties, owned by HoF), phoned Lancome HQ and got me a great deal.... send the receipt for my face cream to Lancomes head office and they would send me the case of my choice.. FREE! I did, and a few days later I got my free case, worth a total of £75, by special delivery.

These three people really went out of their way to help me, and because of that they've secured my custom.
