Electricity/gas split for Government discount scheme

That's unfortunate - the 'cash-equivalent' approach has worked for some others I think.0

Last forecast I ve seen for electricity rates April 1 st from Cornwall Insight was approx. £2450 for an average user( over £5000 for dual fuel ) 3100 kwh which equates to over 70 p /kwh .Maybe a good idea to have as much in the kitty for April 1 st because if you don t qualify for targeted Government help then you certainly won t be getting free electric Apr/May/June.
70p /kwh will really hurt everyone and I ll be making sure to be as much in credit as possible by April 1st0 -
My estimate is that I'll be around £130 in credit by April, so at current rates that would last me for around three months. I hadn't taken account of any increases in the unit rate after that. It might be that £130 doesn't quite last the entire three months, but I reckon it should get me through most of it.I don't know whether I'll qualify for any targeted government help after that, but if I do, I'll be getting free electricity for even longer!0
