And one final question..

How do I push for the continuation to claim costs as stated in my defence if they discontinue as they have?

Costs are covered in the NEWBIES thread with an example link to a thread by @bluetoffee1878 - but don't expect to get them.  Very rare, unless the discontinuance was the day before the hearing or something.
