I've seen stranger things - what about using the IHD kWh reading when it was only 5 digits, and now using the first 5 digits because it has 6?

If you look at the two screenshots the reading you submitted was in the region of 15580, while the correct meter reading on the meter in m3 is 14027.

The difference would be 1553 units = 17393 KWh. That would be around £696 at 4p per Kwh overpayment.

Assuming that was the 5 digits used from the display of 155801 kWh

Yes they have used my readings, but the numbers do seem low.

That's a nice coincidence.  Because you've been putting in the first 5 digits of a 6 digit number increasing just over 10 times as fast as the reading should have been, and the conversion factor isn't that far from 10 - the errors get close to cancelling out.

Take those readings on your screenshot - your IHD changed from 154900 to 156080 (1180 kWh), but because it's missing the last digit they took it to be 118 m3 (1321 kWh) - so only a 141 kWh (£4.22) difference.
