Think this was it after pressing 9

That looks like it to me, although I think @[Deleted User] is more of an expert. That's the number you should be giving the supplier and then they will do that maths to convert it to kWh for billing themselves (just like they think they already are).0

For a smart gas meter, do the following:
- Press 9 on the keypad.
- The word “VOLUME” will show on the screen.
- Your gas reading, in cubic metres (m3) will appear.
- Take the first five digits as your reading.

Not an expert: I just read a lot, and I tend to follow posters who offer sound advice.[Deleted User] said:That looks like it to me, although I think @[Deleted User] is more of an expert. Thanks guys, really appreciated.

A final bit of advice. When you send BG your ‘Mea culpa ‘ email, you need to back it up with a photo of your smart meter (showing the cubic metre reading).0

How long has this being going on for ?You are going to have to do some work on this yourself because there is a fair certainty that the supplier is going to stiff you.Do you have copies of all your past bills ?If not you need to get hold of them.Do you still have the bills from your previous supplier ?There is a post on here where a supplier offered a customer £600 for a reading based mess when the customer calculation came to £3000 !0

About 2 years, looking at transactions appears i've spent around £2770 over that period so dont think i'm going to see that much back but anything will be good. What is really bad is in that time i've had a number of meter reading guys come out and take the readings, yet the energy company have just not batted an eye lid with the difference between my input and the meter guys.

Only £2770 does not really make sense.
If you really gave KWh readings that would be 11.2 times to high. So the new usage would be £2770/11.2 =£247.
I really cannot imagine that you used only £124 per year for heating.

Have they been using your readings for billing though ? They would likely have rejected either your reads or the meter reader's as not in line with expected and billed on estimates. Have you got any bills to post up here ? You really do need to dig out everything you have.
