New postal redirection after old one reached 4 year limit

Wasn't sure where Royal Mail questions go, but since it's about different addresses, here I am. I've been travelling and working remotely (much less glamorous and jetsettish than it sounds but I like it!) for nearly 4 years now, with a postal redirection in place, but I've just found out you can't renew them for more than 4 years. It expires next month, and I wonder if I could just order a new one (to the same address) the next day, or it's going to get rejected by RM?

Yeah, I know I should have stopped using the old address long ago. I still know the people living there so I won't actually lose mail if the redirection goes wrong, and I got lazy. Another few months while I sort it out would be great if possible.

It shouldn't take a few months to tell people you've moved, surely?

Have you got another address in the UK you could have the post sent to?
