Old clothes for 'rags'?

Speaking for the CS I donate mine too, they get recycled into fleece material for filling teddies/bedding or lining clothes. 

I wondered why my new teddy smells like old socks!😄

If they are only fit for rags cut the buttons off and string them together for the charity shop to sell, they do not have time to do this and they sell well.

Unfortunately some rag merchants will not take if buttons removed 😕
