No video output on Mediacentre TV!

I rebooted my Desktop and since then had problem with video on the Media centre.I got message ''error with the video decoder''
Eventually got a software whcih works for playing DVD/other files....I am getting the audio on the TV channels but no video!
Not sure what is wrong?
Any suggestion is much appreciated:o
