Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dark, air feels cool and wet to start the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy..
Lunch yesterday was roast chicken, some LO's.
Back to work today - see will see what mess I've been left to sort out! Hoping colleague before me has done what they should! We'll see!
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Damp, dark and dreary again but not actually raining at the moment. Yesterday morning was quite pleasant, I went for a pool swim and then walked down to the little town to take the soft plastic recycling and called at Aldi for essentials. First time soy milk has been in stock for a few weeks, only bought one as I couldn't carry any more!
Managed an hour out in the garden before the rain set in then it was a miserable afternoon, spent it reading and watching mindless TV. Another one here that doesn't watch Strictly, can't stand all that clapping!
Back to work today, new Head Teacher so we'll see how that goes. It will be good to get back into a routine although I will miss my afternoon naps, seems to have been a long week off.
Thanks for the photos Gers, interesting to see a drained canal.
How are you Nelski?
Have a happy Monday, take care. XX10 -
Morning folks.Yesterday morning was lovely, less so the afternoon, after my shopping trip I settled down to clear out another one of the portable hard drives. This time I tried to be more methodical, deleted a load of stuff then move the important documents into proper named folders rather than 'misc', 'assorted' or some such vague nonsense. Of course, I got very distracted with the photographs so it's not done yet.I agree about all the clapping on SCD so I tend to record it and watch it 20 minutes or so behind live time. That way I can skip the nonsense. Anyway, another good result last night. And then my personal TV highlight of the year, what a treat and a tease it was. 😀Ten minutes ago my smoke detectors decided to go off for no reason. As they are wirelessly linked the noise is simply overwhelming. There's no smoke or fire so heaven knows what happened, just as they spontaneously started they stopped. This morning I've got the new TV table being delivered, the text message tells it it's timed to come between 8.18 and 10.18am, such precision is interesting. Once it's here I then only need the new chair which is almost a month away.I hope that the weather and day is kind to everyone. Happy Monday to all.11

Steak and ale pie was fabulous yesterday, I must make it again. It's so dark here this morning but at least it's not raining. Dinner tonight will be something from the freezer. I don't watch SCD, I just can't get into it. I'm off to do cleaning have a good day all 😊8 -
Morning folks. NMLC I hope you are not met with anything too stressful at work. It's a bit of a drab start here with intermittent light showers forecast. Oh well for late October it could be worse!
Nothing exciting planned for today. After a slothful Sunday there are jobs awaiting. GERS definitely the right result at last after all the over marking!
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and MIA. I've been wondering where NELS is too Camelot. I hope all is as ok as it can be for her. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning all. Bit dull here but at least it's dry.
Yesterday was a quiet day and I didn't even leave the house. Made 2 batches of shortbread though and will take one with me today as we're meeting a friend for lunch a couple of hours drive away.
Nothing else on the agenda today although I might pick up some more milk if we aren't too late back.
Happy Monday!

Hi everyone,
taff, unfortunately I have succumbed. I started with a very high temp and sore throat last night and still feel very grim. Poor Laura is feeling awful and Brian has spent the last two days in bed. I just hope Steve doesn't catch it otherwise we'll all be trying to look after Esben (who still isn't well either). I'm going to do a covid test soon, hopefully it will be negative.
Anyway, I shall go because Esben is screaming, Laura and Brian are on the phone to the Dr and Steve is making his breakfast. I feel like a wrung out dishrag.
Have a good day.

Having a peaceful breakfast before a little tornado comes running in my door! I'm on school holidays this week and have little one for the day. She's coming early as DD is taking little kitten to the vet for me this morning - she's getting neutered today.
We have a pumpkin to carve and will have a play and perhaps a walk this morning and then this afternoon we're going to our local cinema to see a film about a talking crocodile! Little ones first visit to the cinema - not sure if she'll sit right to the end but it's a 'relaxed screening' so it won't matter if she chats all the way through it!
Yesterday afternoon was lovely and quiet - did some jobs and read my Sunday Times. Also had a good chat with eldest DD in Germany.
They're on their way so will get little kitten into her box.
Have a good day everyone x9 -
A quick pop in to send hugs and 'get well soon' to Snoozer and family. Keep drinking lots of fluids. 💕

Its been raining all night here but stopped now but it seems a lot colder today, no clients for me today as the moany one has decided she doesn't want to come for her notice - thank goodness ! so an unexpected but welcome day off !
I felt really poorly yesterday kind of felt like I had food poisoning but OH and DD were fine, so I spent the afternoon laying on the bed, I feel fine now so im not sure what that was.
I dont watch strictly either it has never appealed to me at all.
Pork chops for dinner with mash and veg, I shall do extra mash for a cottage pie on Wednesday, I am having my nails done Wed evening so will be in late so will put the pie in on a low before I go out.
