Johntea said:I would switch to Lloyds, you'll get a rewards account with six free cinema tickets a year (or Gourmet Society membership / magazine subscriptions), plus you can then open a linked (instant access) saver account to shove up to £400 a month in at 5.25%
Plus £150 if you do the switch before 14 November
With it being the same banking group the mobile banking app is pretty much identical to Halifax too
Although you need to make sure you filter £1500 through it a month or you'll get hit by a £3 feeWhat you are doing is like to kill the goose that lays the golden egg.For switching use a dummy account, that do nothing. Not the account that potentially will give £5 reward each month1 -
So, the £5 for £500 DC spend starts in Dec 1st.General_Grant said:The £5 for £5K balance ends 30 Nov.
So, to be paid £5 in December you would need to keep the £5K in the account. throughout November.
If you want to earn more in interest than £5, move the £5K out on 1 November. to a recommended account (as suggested above).
No £5 payment will go to your account in December. but you will have earned more in interest elsewhere.
Then during December make the £500 debit card spend (avoiding using your overdraft) and you'll be paid £5 in January.
If the process looks back to see if you qualify by a £500 DC spend in November, you'll get £5 reward in December. If I'm incorrect you lose nothing.
If General_Grant is incorrect, you miss out on £5.
Up to you.

I have in my notes that from yesterday you are perfectly allowed to have three accounts with Reward Extras. Can't see anything about this in the new account T&Cs from November.0

Not sure where it is on the Halifax website, but they announced the November changes including allowing 3 Rewards accounts back in August, but even back then you could have 3.dcs34 said:I have in my notes that from yesterday you are perfectly allowed to have three accounts with Reward Extras.
