I use battery mega store.
Had 2 batteries in the last 10 year and will be ordering another in September 2023 as my car battery will be 7 years old.
If the car is used for a disabled person you can fill out a form and get 20% vat refund.
In order of quality I would go, Bosch, Varta, Yuasa.
Yuasa did a battery with a life time guarantee not sure if they still do it.1 -
Yuasa fan currently. Hope they don't go and drop the quality now.
Where a new battery is often 12.6 to 12.8volts after charging myself with an external charger the Yuasa seem to hold closer to 12.9volts.
Ordered one recently for the family and Halfords were £20 dearer than Tayna batteries. Even though I didn't pay extra for next day delivery
it still arrived the next day.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...1 -
The problem with Yuasa currently is they are proving to be more expensive than usual due to them having to come from the Far East. Having said that, they are on par with Bosch and Varta when it comes to quality.1

(And my choice would be either a Halfords/Yuasa or Bosch battery - if you're keeping the car a few years - the Yuasa battery with the 5 year guarantee would be the one to look at)1 -
Thanks for the thoughts everyone.shiraz99 said:The 3Ah won't make much difference and that battery has a higher CCA but again probably won't make much difference for you in the real world. Why not just get the 60Ah Bosch or Varta versions which are cheaper. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0

CCA - Cold Cranking Amps is a measure of the maximum current the battery will supply to turn the engine when cold.Going lower than existing battery may be OK for a petrol, but if the car is a diesel I wouldn't as it may struggle to start once colder weather arrives.0
