The prize:
The winner and guest will stay for three nights, B&B, at Kinloch Lodge on the east coast of Skye. A former 18th-century Clan Donald shooting lodge, it is run by Isabella MacDonald, the clan chief’s daughter, and stands at the water’s edge.
Seasonal, sustainable and locally sourced food has always taken centre stage here, and the hotel is celebrating its 50th year with a cookbook, Fifty Years – Kinloch Lodge. As well as tips on foraging, interviews with local producers and thoughts on the history of the hotel and the island, it features 35 recipes by the head chef, Jordan Webb – including venison, sage and walnut polenta with a bramble jus.
One dinner for two (excluding drinks) at the hotel’s restaurant is included in the prize, which must be taken before November 30, 2023, subject to availability and excluding public holidays, as well as the period from April 6 to 11, and June, July and August.
