British Gas app showing incorrect amounts but account/meter seem correct
When I look at my usage on the BG app it seems to be giving me amounts that relate to my old tariff. If I go on the 'Account' section it says I am on the SVT and the figures are correct, if I check my smart meter monitor at home it shows the correct figures for the SVT and also the amounts shown per day tally up too, so it seems to me like the app is giving me amounts based on my old tariff.
Anyone else have this, or know a fix as I like to keep a close eye on everything.

you could contact customer services and ask them when the app will update or if they can send an update? someone else has a similar thread right now about their in home device showing the wrong old ratesAlmost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott
It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

Download the free app BRIGHT. It will connect to your communications hub and pull usage and tariff information from your meters. You will be able to see clearly if your tariff information has been set correctly.chubsta said:When I look at my usage on the BG app it seems to be giving me amounts that relate to my old tariff. Hi,the wee gadget is a fun toy when you first get it, then ends up back in the box, best regular actual meter readings.1

Actually, whether IHD shows the correct tarrif or not, it is good for showing actual elec/gas meter readings if for any reason your meter is not communicating with your utility company. Just turn it on for that.frugalmacdugal said:Hi,the wee gadget is a fun toy when you first get it, then ends up back in the box, best regular actual meter readings.0 -
we just take the readings from the smart meters directly. the ihd was used for the number for the bright app then put in a draw. i can see it might be useful if your meters are hard to get to or outside. but not enough plug sockets free in this house to waste one on a little displayPennyForThem_2 said:
