Nice little bonus on top too.
I doubt these supermarkets will go bust anytime soon
And yes, these spending will count toward it. If you don't want it to be so obvious, add or minus £10 -

But be aware, if the card company cottons onto what you are doing, they may close your account.Until September or August last year, a number of people were doing manufactured spend using the Curve card fronting a Creation card branded with IHG. Spending on this card got you IHG points for their hotel scheme.Creation noticed and closed all the cards that had been fronted by Curve. Creation also closed the cards used with Curve but not used for manufactured spend. They used a blunt tool. As far as I know, Amex don't allow their cards to be used with Curve.Gossip suggests one person bought 700k worth of premium bonds using their IHG branded card. Whether they had their card closed or not, I do not know.Though as Urbanite suggests there may still be ways of doing manufactured spend without using a Curve card. But beware.

Spending multiples of declared annual income consistently for months is the kind of thing that triggers account reviews.Creation is a very special case - they probably got somebody in to stem the costs of operating those loss making cards, segmented Curve customers as unprofitable and gave them the chop.
All Curve did was make entry level manufactured spend more accessible. There were loads of routes before it came to exist and there continues to be many without it, for Amex as well as Visa and Mastercard.0
