Sat Nav Comparison - Probably the wrong board

Hello all,
I'[m sorry if I have posted this on the wrong board but not sure where it should go. I would really like to get my husband a sat nav for Christmas (I know it's a little last minute). I have found the following sony systems which look pretty good but I am a bit of a technophobe. Could anyone advise which is the better of the two?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-NVU51G-EUR-NVU51-Satellite-Navigation/dp/B000MK2WUO/ref=sr_1_23?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1197914557&sr=1-23
This first one I am oping to get on ebay for under £100
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5041002/Trail/searchtext%3ESAT+NAV.htm
Or theres this one at argos.
The listing on ebay ends in the next few hours so any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
