Hello all, we've had lots of rain overnight but it's taking a break for now, don't think it will last for long though. Mr Fix It is a bit more himself today, he must have been in pain/ very uncomfortable as he normally never moans about anything. Thanks for the well wishes, I'm sure they helped.
I stripped the bed yesterday but the bedding will remain in the washing basket until tomorrow, when we are supposed to get the next dry day, fingers crossed. Today I want to dust the downstairs and run the hoover over it. I also have some meatballs defrosted so I'll cook them in the slow cooker and we'll have some for tea with pasta, the rest will be frozen for another day.
Hope everyone has a good Friday.
Take care all, hugs to anyone in need.

Morning all. I'm not feeling it today so I think I might just lay around all day..Or do some desultory cleaning and decluttering. It's absolutely chucking it down and looks set to stay all day. I was going to get my mini lopper thing out and go and cut some tree down and cut the grass but no chance of that. A reshuffle of stuff might be on the cards instead. I made a chicken casserole last night, put the rest of the red wine [ about a glass] in there, a potato I found when digging up the strawberries and there's enoguh for a couple of days at least. Some of the cottage pie went in the freezer so there is at least some kind of ready meal in there now. I bought a couple of joints from Lidl to go in the freezer as well, so only veg and eggs for the next few months are necessary. Has anyone got any good cabbage recipes? I don't mind braised red cabbage but fancy something different.Glad Mr Fixit is better nanny,he;s had a rough old ride. Coxy, extreme ironing made me laugh. And I think it's quite sad that we feel we have to be hypervigilant walking at night in urban areas. Gers, grey is the new thing, or has been for the last few years
snoozer, that came around quick! only 4 weeks to go! Izzy, sounds horrendous, and has she bought the prmised rollers yet? Anyway, I'm orf to do some stuff, probably, maybe, so take care all, hugs n stuff for the ones who want them...
