Hello people of diary land. Well, we are now in GMT and not BST....still on the plus side, that means its all up hill to March when the clocks go forward and it will be spring. Personally I can't wait, but must admit it is very cosy sat here this afternoon with the curtains closed and my lovely Himalayan salt lamp on.
Well I will start with money news today, I am £12.68 short of my monthly target of making £5 a day. I do have a small bit to cash out on C Cs later, but leaving it till the last moment, but it isn't likely to get to that amount. I have over £11 waiting to be approved in "you know where"...lol, but some of them seem to be taking an age lately. In SB, I am 4SB's off my 500, but even if I manage to get them today, SB tend to take a couple of days to reach PP. And the other ones I'm signed up to are nowhere near the next cash out yet. I did have a few bits I intended to list for sale, but never had time to do it. So at least that might go into next month if I can get rid of anything.
Not worked out any PADs yet today as although I made just over £12 this morning, I needed something from the chemist and then found some bargain winter clothes in the charity shop. So ended up spending some of my earnings on myself. But on the plus side, I have saved myself a lot of money by not buying brand new, and I did actually need some, it wasn't just bought on a whim and wasting money. .
So today's plan was to do some cupboard clearing and carpet shampooing, but by the time I'd got sorted, pegged the washing, been out for walk to the shops, washed the dishes, made the bed, cleaned the loo and done an online exercise routine, I decided my time was better spent looking for surveys as in a bid to get to my target. So those other jobs will wait till tomorrow.
Now I just need to start on the dinner. Tonight is Spag Bol. made with turkey mince. But its quite a big pack I have so will cook it all and put half in the freezer. I have started my shopping list for this week and am contemplating going to the local Iceland tomorrow as apparently its 10% off on a Tuesday if you are over 60. Oh the benefits of aging. But then if I do that I'll never get my jobs done, so may just wait till Weds to go shopping to Aldi. Decisions, decisions.
Hope you're all having a good day so far.

Iceland is 10% off on a Tuesday for the over sixties, the one near where I work is busy at eight when it opens. However depending on what you want it does seem expensive, certainly for things like fruit and vegetables.3

Well didn't quite make my target but I am determined to smash it in November. As well as the PADs towards debt I've made this month, I also put some in various savings pots, & some towards a having the boiler serviced. So quite pleased with myself really & its amazing how motivated this site makes you.

I think you're doing amazingly well on all fronts including the PAD's and making £5 a day! 🙌
I don't do surveys etc but you have inspired me to start looking at the possibility - I have the time now so it seems silly not to if I can make a bit of extra cash!

Morning campers. Not updated for a couple of days but still going strong. Will be doing a longer post later when I sit down with a coffee. In the mean time, I have some hoovering to do & a quick shower. Have a good morning everyone.Making the debt go down and savings go up

Well, yesterday was a pretty pants day on the money making front....nothing at all for me, and I didn't make any daily PADs. But it is a weekend, so I know its always slower on the survey front and I haven't sold any more bits on FB MP recently. I still have money waiting to be approved on P/ifc and building up the points on other sites. I probably could have got up to a £1 on CCs and cashed out, but got to 68p and couldn't be bothered to do another one as the first one had numbed my brain....
On the plus side, it was a NSD, apart from £6, for a small present for my best friend for Christmas. Apart from the GKs, she is the only person I buy for these days, as she is my soul mate and gets me through the bad times. Not even DS or DD get anything now. Maybe I'm getting grumpy in my old age, but it does all seem a waste of time & money, especially this year when everybody's energy bills & mortgage & food bills etc are all going up. My family don't need presents to show them I love & care about them. I started very late on the Christmas '22 saving challenge, so am going to put that money with some from my private pension this month and get it all sorted and then I'm starting on Christmas '23 savings, only this time I am doing it for Christmas & Birthdays, which means the total might go up & down a bit throughout the year.
Everything else is coming along tickety boo, and I am finding I am getting so obsessed with paying off debt & saving little bits here & there. Don't know why I ever thought spending a lot of money was a good thing. I desperately need a new jumper for the winter...so where do I look first?? Charity shops & Eb/y of course. Anybody used Vinted? Is it any good? Rad a few negative things about it, so wasn't sure whether it is worth it or not.
Trying to find a nice diary/planner/organiser for next year but don't want to spend a lot and most of the good ones seem to have plastic covers and I am a bit anti that as it means it will go to landfill and I am passionate about NOT sending stuff to landfill unless I have to. Want something with plenty of space in the back for various notes and accounts etc but also a proper diary at the front with room for To Do lists. You wouldn't think it would be so hard to find one....
So my goals for this week are to make at least £5 a day, make at least 1 PAD a day, catch up a bit more on walking & exercise routines and prepare for next weekend as we are going away for a couple of days...cheap as chips and paid for with birthday money & earnings from selling stuff. So hoping for dry days to walk and no rain.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend and thanks for reading. Who will leave Strictly this week??Making the debt go down and savings go up
