I will be getting married for the 3rd time, is a copy of your decree absolute from the 1st marriage required or just from the last marriage?

I would've thought that you would only need the decree absolute from your last marriage but it's a question best directed to wherever you're getting married i.e. church/register office/somewhere else?0

That doesn’t make any common sense! all you’ll be doing is proving your divorced your first wife, but no proof you divorced the second which is what is required you produce in order to remarry.0

Is that comment directed at me T.T.D?
If so, I suggest you re-read my comment as I clearly said they will probably only need the decree absolute from their last marriage, not the first one.0 -
Having been a guest at a wedding where the bride did not have all her paperwork with her and it was postponed I’d suggest you bring an audit trail of paper, first decree absolute, second marriage certificate, second decree absolute then that covers all eventualities.0

When you married for the second time the authorities would (should) have satisfied themselves you were divorced, else not married you. In the circumstances cannot see any reason why you would need to produce paperwork for that first divorce yet again.1
