I'm in exactly the same position! I've turned my boiler up to near the max output and I usually have it on for 3-4 hours, but I'm still cold  Having it on a higher output for shorter does work out cheaper than longer but at a lower output, but if anyone has any advice that would be great. I'm currently spending about a £1 a day on heating.....am I just being stingy?

I don't know if anyone will answer your thread since it's been hammered on this one and it went on quite a bit.
