New uPVC windows

I am having new uPVC windows fitted and they appear to be much smaller than the window aperture they are being fitter into as in up to 1cm either side to the internal plaster and a good 5 cm short on the top and bottom. The window installer is being very thorough but I'm wondering if the windows have been measured wrong and should be so far out on their heights?
Is there someone independent I can ask to take a look at the windows to see if they have been measured incorrectly?

  • I would just see what the fitter does. Have you measured from 3 points of the window- top, middle and bottom? Are you having new boards put in as well?
