Smart Parking being Sneaky Milton Keynes

Hi all,
I received a parking charge from Smart Parking in Milton Keynes I paid for 120 minutes, by the time we left the car park it was 6 minutes over.

I appealed it and they said i was there for 131 minutes.
So basically they’re counting from the minute we drove in to the minute we drove out! We originally wanted to pay by coins but the machine wasn’t picking up the coin so we had to download ringo and the signal is pretty weak.
On the other hand, it’s £25 and if I don’t pay it’ll be £60, is it worth appealing or will I lose?

No you wont lose at POPLA
Use the text below is quotes, you don't need anything else to beat Smart Parking
Please let us know when the ticket is cancelled in due course, or let us know if they respond at all to the POPLA appeal.
"The parking operator does not have a contract in their own name to issue PCNs at this site"

Has the above worked for anyone?0

Its worked since 2012..... so in answer to your question, the answer is of course yes, otherwise i wouldn't advise you to use it. It is only for use in relation to a ticket from Smart Parkingfifi_22 said:Has the above worked for anyone?2 -
You have no choice but to use Grizebeck's tactic (and I trust him on this). Smart should give up.
You would have had a far easier to understand, slam-dunk winning point of 'no keeper liability' had you come here first and not appealed as driver.
Sadly, that's in the bin as far as i can see because you appealed without coming here first, didn't use our 'keeper appeal' template and instead talked about who was driving and what happened (I think?).
That threw away your winning position as keeper which would have killed it off at first appeal stage.
ONLY £25 if paying at the discount? That's new.
Can you show us this PCN please? Are you sure it's £25 in the actual Notice to Keeper? I could use it as evidence for the Government's Impact Assessment:On the other hand, it’s £25 and if I don’t pay it’ll be £60,
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
