Are you the sender or receiver of the parcel or was it not parcel related?

Is "your property" the contents of the parcel or something else.

Evri/Hermes is the same company, they have the same company number, they have just changed their name. As if a person changes their name they are still the same person and you use their current name.

How far along getting quotes and repairs are you? If you want to go via small claims you need to be able to quantify your loss- so a written estimate from a builder would be needed, or if the work needed was urgent and has already been done, then a bill showing the cost in full.

Car?  Not a Evri/Hermes-liveried van?  Have they actually admitted they are taking responsibility (or their insurers are)?

If not, perhaps you should be suing the driver?  If he's subcontracting to E/H and has told his insurers, they should be in the loop.  If he didn't - you may have to sue him as an individual.
I need to think of something new here...
