Rang E.ON, and after several phone calls I finally got through to the right dept.
Gave the lady my actual FIT read for April 1 and she has amended the payment.
Probably amounts to an extra £10.... better in my pocket than theirs!16 Sanyo Hit 250s.4kWp SMA 3.8kWp inverter. SW roof. 28° pitch. Minimal shade. Nov 2011 install. Hybrid car. Ripple Kirk Hill. N.E Lincs Coast.3 -
Hats off to Eonnext, emails replied to and figures recalculated, as Legoman says, better in my pocket than theirs, just wondering why their website is so lacking in ability to deal with the tariff chsnge. They force me, (everyone??) To submit on 01 june. When it was just Eon we used to submit quarterly based on an April 01 date, far easier. But they did reply and did amend quickly.

British Gas will accept a reading every 83 days or greater. Guess I could try to spread that out a little to hit close to April. Eventually 😄PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)1

I too received a quick response when I contacted them about this. I did it by email. But I'm not impressed. The estimate for March was double the actual. They always estimate in their favour and if they do it to everyone and most ignore it they are denying us PVers a huge sum of money in total. It should not be difficult to get the algorthim more accurate than this. Or better still ask for readings on the 31 March like they used to.

OK. I appreciate that but it was quicker than saying 'not in our favour'. Haven't checked the pro-rata but will do later. If that is the case then Ofgem have got it very very wrong themselves. And I really don't understand why E.On changed the dates to 1st March and 1st June when they went to Eon Next. They could have made it so much simpler for everyone (themselves included)

You can submit any time until the 25th. From my E.ON Next account page:Edit: I've looked at my June 2022 FIT statement and it looks like it is (or very close to) a level pro-rata. I generated ~900kWh for the period (of ~90 days) and they've allowed ~70kWh for the seven days in March.Second edit: the end of March was pretty bright last year, so their estimated reading for the 1st of April is only ~1kWh different to my actual reading on that dayN. This is the first year that the rise in FIT - 10% - has been enough to make a significant difference.
In previous years my 'split' has been out by upto 100kWh but in monetary terms that's less than £1.4kWp (black/black) - Sofar Inverter - SSE(141°) - 30° pitch - North LincsInstalled June 2013 - PVGIS = 3400Sofar ME3000SP Inverter & 5 x Pylontech US2000B Plus & 3 x US2000C Batteries - 19.2kWh0 -
Entered my reading yesterday evening to EonNext and, as expected, the statement this morning shows an overestimation for 1st April figure - only 40 kWh, but still inaccurate. (I have calculated that it was a simple ‘pro-rataing’ of the increase since the last reading divided by the number of days.)
I have emailed them this morning, attaching a photo of the meter showing the reading taken after sunset on 31st March. Hopefully they’ll correct it as they have done for others. Not so much for the money (it only works out £3.34 difference) but the principle, and if enough people complain maybe they’ll add the facility to enter an accurate rate change reading like we had before it changed from Eon to EonNext.2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07
