Euro Car Parks

Hi All.

Received PCN and appealed using the copy/paste text from the newbies thread. Appeal rejected. I am the keeper, I 1000% wasn't the driver. They haven't provided any information to enable me to identify the driver in their rejection letter. I think the driver just drove in, was a bit lost, didn't know what to do and drove out again. The golden question is do I have to pay anyways seeing as I am the keeper?

Many many thanks.

The driver was there 15 minutes.  That's quite a long time and not just 'driving in and out'.

Did they struggle to pay?  Dodgy app?

Maybe they paid but keyed their VRM wrong?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

New driver, got lost, didn't get out of the car, just wasted time trying to find themselves! They didn't even know there was such a thing as ANPR parking! Learnt a lesson!

    Do I just pay ?

No...can you show me anywhere in the NEWBIES FAQS thread where it advises paying a private parking charge?!

Plan A is always a complaint to the landowner and your MP.

If you can't get it cancelled, and you have appealed and it has been rejected, you should now have a PoPLA code. That being the case you should make a PoPLA appeal using all the points available to you from the third post of the NEWBIES.

Get your own photos of the site and signage.

One of your appeal points will be that the signage is inadequate because a motorist could not possible read the Ts and Cs including the charge for failing to comply with them from a car length away.
