Hello all, it's a damp old day here after a sunny but cold one yesterday. I got the washing mostly dried yesterday, all except the thick jogger waistbands so they have been on the airer overnight. Dad called in the afternoon with some items that we had left at his house when we finished his bathroom, so I gave him the 2 jars of Piccalilli that I'd bought for him (he only likes As*a ones)
I have some tasks to complete this morning, including a store goods shuffle as I check the dates, then we have to go out as Mr Fix It has his oncology injection. I'll go along for the ride but they won't let me in, so I'll sit in the car with my kindle.
Camelot welcome back.
Take care all

Morning all, thanks for the start nmlc, & welcome back Camelot- enjoy your lazy day,Istanbul sounds good.I decided to do a few jobs before posting, mainly back garden in case it rains. Had a busy day yesterday, went to the market for veg. I decided against a box this week as I still had quite a few bits. Despite my best efforts to increase the veg intake of the menfolk, it seems like their fave option is still frozen peas, or the odd carrot/broccoli ! Then I took a book back to the library in its temp. new home & picked a new one. Last stop was to buy a mirror from Wil ko, fed up of waiting for DH to sort it, though I was quite glad when he rang to say he was close to town after looking at a job, I might have struggled on the bus with it
. Since the old wardrobe went to the hospice shop I haven't been able to check my appearance before going out. The skip at the storage unit has been filled so we can now get upstairs, it was blocked off before with tools etc. so it's probably my turn to go and get rid of stuff now.
I dread to think how many pairs of undies I have, I buy mainly black though and just have the odd white ones, I never really have enough white stuff to justify a separate wash so they'd end up grey!
Taff, slow down, makes me tired just reading. Yes HT is a nice place to visit, though we have never done the house tour. I was pleased to see the farmers markets are continuing through winter, thought that was the last one.
I started to think about making some Xmas cards yesterday, got my die cut machine out and found a die I'd never used. Mind you I think the list will have to be trimmed with the price of stamps nowFish for tea tonight, and apparently no school pick ups, DGS started an art & craft club that finishes later so DS can manage to get both of them.Right better get on, have a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all. Been to hospital and back for a scan, the machine stopped working so I had to go and sit in a draughty corridor for a bit in my gown while they fiddled with it [ IT guy must have been and said, have you turned it off and on again?] not great but hey ho, these things happen. Got GTN spray for the first time, double yuk, like corsodyl mouthwash, and a couple of wooshes with the iodine stuff, very warming... Left at half ten, I was up at seven so I detoured to McD's for a hash brown or two..Yeah, OK, two...And a sausage muffin...Home and breakfasted now so next job is start filling up the second hotbin by chopping lots of waste up small. I finished the new edging yesterday, discovered i could cut the pipe I used as brackets instead of sawing, much easier on the arms. All screwed in now and it's going nowhere. Very pleased with that, looks much neater than it did. Now I just have to resdistribute some soil from the side to level another bit off..Cottage pie again tonight, I'll put some in the freezer for spares.Nanny, hope he's in and out quick! Took mine to the hospital too, lovely to be peacefully reading instead of sitting worrying. Camelot, glad you had a nice holiday! Take care anyone who needs to take care, party on to anyone who doesn't!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi9

My heating is fixed so came home to a nice cosy house. Still need a plasterer to fix the wall and an electrician but at least it's warm now.
Really enjoyed Mrs Harris goes to Paris - would recommend if anyone gets the chance to see it - well as long as you don't want fast paced action!
Had a look in a couple of charity shops before I came home and got two Christmas jumpers for little one for £1.99 each.
Going to wash up and have a nice bath x3
