Just made a test International Transfer from my Global Money Euro wallet to one of my EU based account.

at the end it stated that it was estimated to arrive within 24hrs. Will keep and eye on it and confirm when it lands.

as Daliah said, if they could let us know the Global Money account Iban to receive money, that would be great (immagine the opportunity had few weeks ago when the GBP hit such a low value to transfer from other currency and exchange at HSBC competitive value) edited: I also derived the IBAN using the same tool I successfully used to derived my Chase UK Iban, and tried to do a payment the other way around: my EU Bank did not accept the IBAN. I then tried again from my Wise wallet and it went through but stating it could take up to the 25th to credit on my destination account. Will also report back

    From the FAQs:
"In future you'll be able to receive foreign currency into your account."
    So not yet.
I tried to open this account when it appeared on my HSBC UK app a few days ago, but it was immediately declined because my registered address is no longer in UK. Let's see how jealous of you guys I become...

Can't you use the Expat account? https://www.expat.hsbc.com/accounts/products/global-money/
Though as I mentioned earlier, not sure it comes with a card

Thanks, but I don't have an HSBC Expat Account and unfortunately seem to be ineligible for one because Italy is not included, for some reason, in the list of countries of residence that are acceptable. My HSBC Singapore app does not yet offer the Global Money Account and it might be a long time coming, with the strictness of MAS (central bank).

Much like that post?  Are you saying that you don't have a requirement for multi-currency services (in which case it's obviously not you that it's aimed at) or that you do and have some unspecified criticism of its suitability for these?

HSBC Singapore seem to have https://www.hsbc.com.sg/debit-card/products/everyday-global/ which may be their version of the account.

The first county HSBC rolled out the account was the USA (https://www.us.hsbc.com/checking-accounts/products/global-money/)

It looks like each country is getting a slightly different version. In countries where multi currency accounts are more popular, they seem to be launching current accounts incorporating the Global Money feature

What is the purpose of this card, if you can only start of with £GBP first....any different to Halifax Clarity/Barclays Reward Credit?

For some reason I am not eligible when I click on it, it says Sorry currently we cannot provide you with a Global Money account.

Anyone else had this or it just me 🤣

Possibly a better rate, and useful as an alternative to the Mastercard cards as it is a VISA. I like to carry multiple payment methods when travelling, and having a choice of alternative cards is always good. The HSBC account is also about more than just a card, as you can send money abroad, make online payment in other currencies, and buy/store currencies at your convenience.
