Free Dating Sites?

Internet dating is a tricky affair. The whole industry is rife with scams, and even the biggest sites are structured in an elaborate bait-and-switch manner where you're made to fill out a profile and get really invested, before the site finally reveals you have to pay them to send messages or do anything. This is true of eharmony and match, two of the biggest names

Its not that I personally would mind paying, but that i know most people won't, and a site that locks out unpaid users is just going to have a dating pool of near-zero

Trying to find sites that aren't scams is really hard. If you google something like free dating you find tons of sites that are very much not free. And even worse, plenty of "review" sites that are really just paid advertising for those scams

So I come to you, dear money saving gurus. Where might I go for an acessible, mainstream dating site, that doesn't have unreasonable paywalls?

OKCupid is the only one that comes to mind so far, it can't be the only one though

Oh i was looking into that, and I can't find it!

Or more correctly, i found too many of it. I ran into at least four similarly named sites, maybe scamming attempts, and i have no idea which, if any, is the original. Could you possibly link it or provide the full url so i can check

I met my husband on plenty of fish but it took along time to weed out the men who just wanted one thing.
