Will no completion of works certificate affect my remortgage and insurance??

Long story short, I got a builder to knock a supporting wall through after paying a structural engineer to supply weights and sizes etc for the RSJ support.

All work is done and great I have no issues.

I read that you don't need planning permission as it's an interior wall, usually only exterior require is, this made me think as I had a structural report I didn't need a completion of work certificate from a building inspector as no planning permission was needed.

I understand now i was wrong, and in order to sell my house (don't plan on) I'll need the certification of completion to show the works been done safely in order to sell or get a certain insurance etc..

However I am now wondering if this will affect my renewal of building and contents and also my remortgaging which is due in a matter of weeks.
