I displayed my disability badge in mother and child but got parking fine

I need a knee replacement and can't walk too far. The two available disabled bays were taken, and I used a mother and baby bay next to the disabled bay. The car park was empty. I have received a parking fine because I did not have a child under 12 with me. They have sent me a picture of my car which clearly shows my disabled badge. I was in the shop for 7mins 45 seconds. The fine is £100 unless I pay within 14days it's £60. I'm not paying and have appealed. This was unaccepted and I was referred to www.IAS.org? I have lodged an appeal with them. This is absolutely ridiculous why are these companies allowed to do this? Has anyone else had the same?

For the same reason I am happy to let one of our neighbours park on our driveway but not our other neighbour. Its private land, I own and maintain it and so I am free to set the rules of who I allow to park on it.

Others will come along shortly to tell you how to avoid the charges irrespective of the reason for you getting them.

Remove it, as long as there is the option to do so without admitting liability.

IAS is a Kangaroo court, don't do it.  It's run by the IPC (for the parking firms, paid for by them).  You should have come to us first and never tried IAS.

Complain to the Store Manager that you are suffering illegal harassment which is disability discrimination, and they and their agent are liable.

    Make the shop cancel it.

If there are several shops, try ALL Managers (whether you used their shop or not) and the retail park managing agent whose name us on the website or the welcome (store list) advertising entrance sign.

    NO PAYING. NO IAS.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
