HSBC online banking access?

Anyone with HSBC having trouble logging on using website(i dont have app)?
Whenever i enter username i get 'error' and i'm definitely using the correct username.

    I couldn't login to FD earlier on app or website, so I gave up and thought I'd try again later.

    Called HSBC customer service, seems there is an issue affecting some customers. Was told IT will contact me within 15 Days!!
    Glad its not my main bank!

    I have been unable to log in to HSBC online banking for months. I don't use apps so i don't know if that works.
    This is the last response from HSBC.
    Is it worth contacting the FOS?

    Not had any issues personally with logging in and accessing my HSBC accounts.  I don't use Apps for Banking, either.  Been with HSBC since University.

    I suspect you'd be best transferring to another Bank, and closing the HSBC one?

    Then transferring back to a new HSBC account with new online ID etc.,. if you really want to.

    Dunno why you've been so patient, personally.  Also don't know why HSBC haven't suggested a new online ID set up from scratch to link in to existing accounts?
    But then we haven't seen and heard all your communications with HSBC about this.

    Have you walked into your Branch and asked to speak to a Manager (or made an appointment) with the aim to sort this all out?

    Thanks, i've been patient as its not one of my main accounts and use it only occasionally.
    I can't understand either why they can't fix it, as you say a new online ID should work. This hasn't been suggested by HSBC.
    My nearest branch is nearly 60 miles away.
    I'll probably just switch out when another switch offer comes along.
