After a low increase for this year, I think they will have to pass on a full inflation increase this time. However after that I guess the Triple Lock will probably go at least. It was not the best idea ever in the first place,Merlin139 said:
CPI rate for September 2022 will be announced at 07:00 on Wednesday 19th. This is the rate next Aprils pension increase will rise by unless the Government does another U-turn!MX5huggy said:
then you should be very interested in Thursday morning when the September inflation figure is announced which should be the increase on SP given in April.0 -
I would have said you are near enough State Pension Age for it not to be a problem. I'm one of the first to be affected by the acceleration to 67 with a State Pension Age of 66 and 8 months and would like to think I am relatively safe from SPA further rises. Think it may be a different matter for those born around 1970. If I were one of them, I would be seriously planning for an increase from 67 to 68.
