IVA consent to remortgage
Hi, Husband has an IVA, We have a joint mortgage and it's coming up to the time where they will want him to try and remortgage
Now Can I refuse as it's a joint mortgage and we don't want to, We want to do the extra year of repayments instead
Also I don't work so would we get one if forced to apply for one
Thanks

You're not bound by the IVA so as far as I can see you can be as obstructive as you want.
I didn't quite follow 'I don't work so would we get one if forced to apply for one '
Remortgages and secured loans are not easy to get even for someone with no insolvency on their credit history. More so given the events of the last fortnight.
I would expect your husband to be asked to make payments for an additional year.
