Do we get £66 off monthly for Gas too?

Is the £66 monthly off from October only for the electricity supply?

    Yes, electricity only  as not everyone has gas, almost everyone has electricity.

    It is distributed via the electricity account, but the net effect is to leave you £66 better off for 6 months, what you do with that is up to you of course...

    depends who your supplier is, different companies are handling how it is paid differently.

    Which supplier? .... some have already reduced your DD for you, others are leaving it the same but paying the money to your bank account...
    One way or another you should end up £66 better off...

    Eon-Next have reduced my DD by £66 but credited my account with the original DD amount. 
    Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers

    It was marked as

    "06 OCT 2022

    HM Government Discount Energy Bills Support Scheme
    +£66.00".

    I have left the DD as it is.
